Photography is manipulating light to create art. It’s about composition, imagination, and finding beauty in the ordinary.

When photographing people, good direction and a comfortable environment are key; as is knowing what they want to achieve and working with them to achieve it. Intuition, experience, and patience are essential.

Our shoot is a collaborative process. We exchange ideas until we come up with a final product that we’re both happy with. It starts with communication. Please feel free to call for a consultation and e-mail me any photos that inspire you that you may want to re-create.

My studio on the upper east side of Manhattan is fully equipped with pro lighting, a changing/makeup room, and is located just one block away from the east river walkway; a picturesque area lined with park benches and trees where I often shoot.

I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III digital SLR tethered directly to two professionally color-calibrated monitors. This way you can see the images as I’m taking them to ensure they are coming out exactly the way you want them to; what you see is what you get.

At the end of the session all of the high res images will be available for download. After choosing your favorites, e-mail me the file numbers and I’ll have the retouched versions to you within two business days.
